What inspired you to become a Dentist?
I’ve always had an interest in health and science but never wanted to be restricted to an office where you never get to use your hands. At the time, there was a massive shortage of dentists in the UK and as such the media were focussing on the actual job. I found the blend of theory and practical appealing and dud some work experience. I haven’t looked back since!
Having practiced for long while, my favorite aspect has changed over the years. I used love the fancy technology and enjoyed being the guy who knows all about the next big thing.
Favorite part about being a Dentist?
As I’ve matured, I honestly love the relationships we establish. You see families grow, children get older, young people become parents and older people embrace their golden years! I enjoy the stories, the familiarity and the frank and honest interactions which blossom with time.
Aside from relationships, ,rebuilding smiles, re-establishing self confidence, the ability to chew comes hand in glove with what I do. Being able to provide that to even the most anxious patient is massively rewarding and I’m grateful for the trust my patients bestow. It’s humbling but a great feeling.
If you had to invent a toothpaste flavor, what would it be?
I’d go for a curried flavour toothpaste, just to see what sort of marketing campaign the advertising gurus could muster!
Go to take away food after a long day?
Cannot beat a burger.
What your go to coffee order?
Look, I’m just as happy with the office expresso as I am with a 7 dollar inner suburb masterpiece. Melbourne’s coffee scene is truly wasted upon me.
